A Gallon of Donkey Shit

I'll finish the sentence for you, Norv. "F*ck the NFL"

That's really all there is to say about the travesty that was the Broncos victory over the Chargers this Sunday. The shitty officiating decided the game, and it just made me think of how this league has gotten worse and worse every year. Holding fans hostage to awful officiating and shameful marketing is not a way to "grow your brand," Mr. Goddell.

Hey, but at least those pink Tony Romo jerseys are flying off the shelf :)

“On the last play, it was clearly a fumble. Ed came over to me and said he blew it. That’s not acceptable to me. This is a high-level performance game. That’s not acceptable to have a game decided on that play."

-Chargers head coach Norv Turner

The chosen teams are

Pats
Steelers
Broncos

While we're at it, they need to tone it on the personal foul calls. I want to see the better team win and I'm tired of games being decided on cheap calls. My favorite is when the QB gets sacked and the D grazes his facemask. 15 yard penalty and a first down. Ridiculous!

Dude, I hear you on the penalties. It's almost not even real football anymore.

And you're right, those are totally the chosen teams. The Tuck Rule was a watershed moment in legue history, ever since then the product has gotten worse every year.

Is there ANY American sports league that can get it right anymore? It's definately not the MLB or NBA, that's for sure.

I'm looking forward to the Bowl Season and college basketball already, is that a bad sign?

This was an abysmal, egregious and unacceptable call. The Chargers absolutely lost a game specifically because of that call.

That said, I still think the NFL gets it right more than any other league. Best product in sports.

I fear for the Jets this week. The Chargers are going to look to put a hurtin' on someone.

It's getting to the point where you can't even get excited when your team makes a big play. You just expect the refs to screw you with a phantom holding call or a bogus review. I am starting to have empathy for Raider fans.

Exactly. And did you EVER think you would feel an ounce of sympathy for Raider fans?

The NFL might be the best product in PRO sports, but it's by default now more than ever.
