Okay, people. Time to get serious about this. Trevor has blown 3 of his last 4 saves. The man is done. Heath Bell is the future. Heath Bell is our only hope. Heath Bell is the second coming of Jesus! (what? too much?)

It's crazy how much the SD media loves Trevor. The headline in the U-T's sports section this morning was "Nobody's Perfect," and near that, there was a story about how - despite last night - Josh Bard insists Trevor's fastball has more heat than it did last year. Look, we know the guy's a legend, but even legends have to hang it up sometimes. Ask Green Bay fans.
Pretty sick, isn't it?
They already have a huge picture of him up at Petco, but they should just go all 9 yards with the enourmous Trevor tapestry in the Gaslamp, a la Mao.
Oh yeah, and lashings for any dissidents to the Cult of Hoffman...
The latest "Don't speak ill of Trevor!" news: During today's game, channel 4 was listing stats about who has the most career blown saves. The winner? Hall of Famer Goose Gossage. I didn't have the sound on the TV, but I can only imagine they were saying, "Look, Gossage had WAY more blown saves that Trevor and he's in the Hall of Fame! Trevor is just fine."
